Electric Poe Cemetery Reading

This special, indoor event allows you to get spooky with your family. A performer will read stories from Edgar Allen Poe to get you in the Spooky Season vibe!

Ghost Tours at the John Wornall House Museum

This is known as one of the most haunted places in Kansas City, so definitely worth the spooky adventure!
You must be 16 to participate, so it is not for young kids, but a very cool event. You can buy tickets online too.
There are also paranormal investigation events happening too if you’re looking for really spooky Halloween events!
The Great Pumpkin Fest Worlds of Fun

This family-friendly Halloween event is all treats and no tricks and features special Halloween-themed activities for kids plus PEANUTS-themed rides and attractions in Planet Snoopy!
Kids can wear their costumes and trick-or-treat with Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang inside Planet Snoopy. You never know which PEANUTS character will be nearby to join the fun with their own festive Halloween costumes!

There is a Pumpkin Patch, Corn maze, hay pyramid, corn box, hay slide, and more fall fun at Deanna Rose Farmstead. You can also visit the animals and year-round attractions on the farmstead. A horse-drawn wagon ride even takes you to the pumpkin patch and back!

WaterFire KC – Light Up the Night
Come enjoy a fun, fire-filled night at the Country Club Plaza! Your family will enjoy live music, performance art, snacks & more throughout the night. There will be live shows from 7 to 10 pm and bonfires from 7 to 11 pm.
Admission is FREE to this awesome event!
Weston’s 30th Annual Applefest Celebration
Saturday, October 7th 10:00 am – 5:00 pm | Sunday, October 8th 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Main Street in Weston, MO
This makes the 30th year of Applefest, so there is definitely something to celebrate! There will be a parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, so come early to check out the tractors, classic cars, fire trucks, and live music.
Shop over 50 art and craft vendors on Main Street in downtown Weston or the unique storefronts that call Weston home. You can also do many Fall activities like watch apple butter being made (& buy some to take home), check out the mini-hay baler, or grab a bite at the Applefest Food Court. Westonโs famous apple dumplings, apple pies, and cookies will be available through our local churches.
Kids will love to work the apple press to see how apple cider is made! Fun childrenโs activities on both days are planned in the park with Pony Rides, Face Painting, Pumpkin Painting, and Agriculture Education Interactive Games and Activities too.
Admission for Adults is a $1.00 Donation, Kids under 15 FREE.

Youโll have a spooktacular time swimming in our Haunted Swamp. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. with pumpkin decorating and lifeguard trick-or-treating then at 6:45 p.m. we will have a pumpkin dive followed by an open swim in the swamp.
Preregistration is required for kids only. Parents are free. Please no costumes.
Haunted Cruise

Kid Safe Halloween at Shoal Creek Living History Museum

$5 per person 15 Years Old and Younger FREE
Trick or Treat throughout the village (please have kids bring their own bag for candy). Costume Contest at 11:15am and 1:30pm (ages 6 months to 10 years old). Horse rides all day ($5.00/ride). Games throughout the day (some games offer prizes). Visit the Haunted Schoolhouse. Blacksmith demonstrations throughout the day. Concessions open (serving hot drinks, kettle corn, cookies, and chips). Mercantile open. Square payments are available at the front entrance and concessions stand ONLY.
