KC Metro Fall Festivals & Events in August
This family-friendly event is filled with kids activities, including a carnival, live music, sales at local shops, arts & crafts, food & many other booths!
The event is free to the public, located in downtown Parkville off S. Main Street. This is a new location for this year, so be sure to check where you’re going.
KC Metro Fall Festivals & Events in September
September 2nd to October 15th on Saturdays and Sundays

Travel back in time during KC Ren Fest this Fall season! You don’t want to miss the famous themed weekends, live shows, performances, shopping, rides, games & more.
September 1st-3rd; Friday 5:00pm-11:00pm; Saturday and Sunday 11:00am-11:00pm
Crown Center Square
There will be music, dancing, and exhibits for all. This is one of the best fall festivals in Kansas City – a local KC tradition! We’re so excited to have this event back for 2023!
Commemorate Kansas City’s proud Celtic heritage with three days of music, dancing, and exhibits. They will be announcing more details as the event date gets closer.

Downtown Concordia, MO
This year’s theme is “We Have a Good Thing Growing”. There will be exhibits, contests, parades, art and many activities.

This weekend enjoy a carnival, kids’ activities, live music, arts & crafts vendors & tons of fair food!
September 2nd and 3rd (Sat: 10 am to 5 pm, Sun: 10 am to 3 pm)
Crown Center Square: Downtown Kansas City, MO
This free Fall festival includes street paintings throughout the event. Enjoy artists creating intricate artwork with chalk on the pavement!
You can also enjoy street performers, kids’ activities, art workshops & other fun things to do. This is one of the top-rated festivals every year, so you don’t want to miss it.

Streets of Westport, MO
Enjoy 150 of KC’s best artists & craftsmen who take over Westport’s streets! You can check out traditional art, jewelry, crafts, handmade goods & more. This is the 40th year of the arts festival, so it has grown to be a huge Kansas City Fall festival.
This is only local artists, so be sure to come out & support the community!

This state fair is definitely worth the drive! There will be countless kids’ activities, carnival rides & games, demonstrations, farm animals, live music & other entertainment…you name it, the fair has it! Explore a full list of fair events online.

Downtown Blue Springs, MO
This year the theme is “Walk on the Wild Side”… and it’s sure to be fun!
Enjoy fireworks, carnival, live music & entertainment, a car show, a parade & 250+ local vendors. This family event has fun things to do for everyone on your crew!

Beanstalk Children’s Garden: 6917 Kensington Ave. Kansas City, MO
This free family festival is filled with fun things to do with kids!
This year there will be garden crafts, yard games, basil plants, fruit and veggie tasting, and more.
September 22nd through 24th
This is the 92nd annual art fair in Kansas City – 240+ artists will show off their work in the streets of The Country Club Plaza.
This festival is nationally recognized, so you definitely don’t want to miss out! There will also be local bands, live music & kids’ activities
September 16th – 10 am to 8 pm
Waldo Area – 75th & Wornall Rd.
The free event is a neighborhood festival to celebrate Waldo!

Downtown Liberty, MO
This is definitely one of the best family, Fall festivals in the Northland. Enjoy live music, carnival rides, 200+ vendors & places to shop, and more local fun.

OP Farmer’s Market: 7950 Marty Street Overland Park, KS
Get ready for the best eats, treats, art, crafts, music, shopping, and more at this year’s Overland Park Fall Festival! This fun-filled extravaganza is packed with hands-on activities, live entertainment, friendly vendors, and delicious festival food. Join us in Downtown Overland Park. The event is free, but there will be items for sale at the event.

September 30th and October 1st
City Park, Spring Hill, KS
Enjoy this 2-day festival, plus a Saturday morning parade through Spring Hill! If you like Fall, you’ll love this festival. There are tons of trees around for you to enjoy the fall leaves.
There will be fun fall things to do like craft booths, live music & entertainment. There will also be a Chiefs watch party, chili cook off, and more.
September 23rd – 24th – 8 am to 6 pm
September 30th – October 1st – 8 am to 6 pm
Louisburg Cider Mill: 14730 KS-68, Louisburg, KS
This is a free Fall festival, so don’t miss out on the fun! All your favorite Fall classics will be there. You can enjoy donut-making, cider, inflatables, pony rides & tons of craft booths.

September 29th to October 1st
Linden Square: Gladstone, MO
There will be live music on Friday and Saturday with artists to be announced. Sunday only the carnival is open – no vendors.
Come shop local vendors, eat, drink, ride carnival rides & play games at this year’s Fall Festival in Gladstone. There will also be a Kid’s Corner to explore!
You can buy All You Can Ride bands, so you can ride all night long too.
October 7th – 8th
There will be fall crafts, fall foods, music, activities, and of course apples!
October 7th-8th 10:00 am-5:00 pm
Oktoberfest will have over 100 crafters, live music, food, and tons of fun.

Missouri Town 1855: 8010 E. Park Road Lee’s Summit, MO
Come enjoy fall activities, music, craft booths, artisans & other skilled interpreters during this classic fall event. There will also be live music from the time period, games, a hay wagon ride & yummy food.
The cost is $15 per car and $25 per van/bus. They ask you not to bring your pets.
September 7th – 9th
This is a Fall tradition if you live in Kansas. There will be carnival rides, a parade, vendors, crafts, and an ice cream social. They ask that no pets be brought into the event.
October 7th – 9:30 to 11:30 am
Downtown Shawnee, KS
Walk around Johnson Drive & City Hall to see many scarecrow decorations from locals! There will also be free art stations to decorate scarecrows & pumpkins.
Don’t miss the baking competition – fruit pie, pumpkin pie & pumpkin bread are all categories.
October 13th and 14th
Santa Fe Trail Drive & Pflumm Rd. Lenexa, KS
This is a free event where you can enjoy yummy chili – what’s a better fall meal than chili? It’s so warm & delicious!
Free samples Saturday while supplies last.
Power & Light District: Kansas City, MO
This will be one of the best Fall events in Kansas City this year! You can enjoy tons of kids’ activities, live music & entertainment, Fall food & drink tastings, pumpkins, art displays, pony rides, s’mores, food trucks & so much more.
The Fall Festival will be throughout the streets of the Power & Light District, with some of the streets being blocked off. It is expected to be a big event, filled with tons of fun fall things to do…caramel apples, kettle corn, funnel cake & s’mores. What’s more Fall than that?

Kemper Outdoor Education Center: 8201 S Jasper Bell Rd. Blue Springs, MO
Explore nearly 100 booths, dog demonstrations & skills workshops, games, contests, competitions, clinic & animal adoption booths. You can learn so much at this event! Find more details about what games, clinics & workshops will be available…there are too many to list.
It is free admission with a dog food donation, so be sure to bring you dog food. Also, dress your dog up for the Halloween costume contest for dogs!
