KC Metro Fall Festivals & Events in August
August 18th-20th
Parkville, MO
This family-friendly event is filled with kids activities, including a carnival, live music, sales at local shops, arts & crafts, food & many other booths!
The event is free to the public, located in downtown Parkville off S. Main Street. This is a new location for this year, so be sure to check where youโre going.
Kansas City Renaissance Festival
August 31st – October 13th on Saturdays and Sundays and Monday September 2nd &14th

Kansas City Irish Festival
August 30th- September 1st; Friday 5:00pm-11:00pm; Saturday and Sunday 11:00am-11:00pm
Crown Center Square
There will be music, dancing, and exhibits for all. This is one of the best fall festivals in Kansas City โ a local KC tradition! Weโre so excited to have this event back for 2024! Commemorate Kansas Cityโs proud Celtic heritage with three days of music, dancing, and exhibits. They will be announcing more details as the event date gets closer.
Kansas City Chalk & Walk Festival
August 31st- September 1st (Sat: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sun: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm)

This free Fall festival includes street paintings throughout the event. Enjoy artists creating intricate artwork with chalk on the pavement!

Art Westport

Streets of Westport, MO
Enjoy 150 of KCโs best artists & craftsmen who take over Westportโs streets! You can check out traditional art, jewelry, crafts, handmade goods & more. This is the 44th year of the arts festival, so it has grown to be a huge Kansas City Fall festival. Enjoy a variety of different art styles and mediums.

Johnson County Old Settlers Festivalย
September 5th-7th
This is a Fall tradition if you live in Kansas. There will be carnival rides, a parade, vendors, crafts, flower show, and ice cream social.ย They ask that no pets be brought into the event.
Kansas State Fair

Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival

Plaza Art Fair

This is the 93rd annual art fair in Kansas City – 240+ artists will show off their work in the streets of The Country Club Plaza.ย

Waldo Festival

Liberty Fall Festival

This is definitely one of the best family, Fall festivals in the Northland. Enjoy live music, carnival rides, 200+ vendors & places to shop, and more local fun.
There is also a parade on Saturday at 11:00am.

Overland Park Fall Festival

OP Farmerโs Market: 7950 Marty Street Overland Park, KS
Get ready for the best eats, treats, art, crafts, music, shopping, and more at this yearโs Overland Park Fall Festival! This fun-filled extravaganza is packed with hands-on activities, live entertainment, friendly vendors, and delicious festival food. Join us in Downtown Overland Park. The event is free, but there will be items for sale at the event.

Spring Hill Fall Festival
September 28th-29th
City Park, Spring Hill, KS
Enjoy this 2-day festival, plus a Saturday morning parade through Spring Hill! If you like Fall, youโll love this festival. There are tons of trees around for you to enjoy the fall leaves.
There will be fun fall things to do like craft booths, live music & entertainment. There will also be a Chiefs watch party, chili cook off, and more.
Louisburg CiderFest

Gladfest
October 4th-6th
Linden Square: Gladstone, MO
There will be live music and tons of vendors on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday only the carnival is open and there are no vendors.
Come shop local vendors, eat, drink, ride carnival rides & play games at this yearโs Fall Festival in Gladstone. There will also be a Kidโs Corner to explore!
You can buy All You Can Ride bands, so you can ride all night long too.
Weston Apple Festival
October 5th-6th
This yearโs Weston Apple Festival will start with a huge parade. There will also be fall crafts, fall foods, music, activities, and of course apples! Make sure you grab an apple dumpling!
Oktoberfest

Historic Smithville
Oktoberfest will have over 100 crafters, live music, food, and tons of fun. Donโt miss out on this annual fall festival in Historic Smithville.
48th Annual Arts, Crafts & Music Festival
October 5th-6th, 10:00 am โ 5:00 pm
Missouri Town 1855: 8010 E. Park Road Leeโs Summit, MO
Come enjoy fall activities, music, craft booths, artisans & other skilled interpreters during this classic fall event. There will also be live music from the time period, games, a hay wagon ride & yummy food.
The cost is $15 per car and $25 per van/bus. They ask you not to bring your pets.
Scarecrow Festivalย

This kid focused event allows children to decorate pumpkins and fall themed crafts. There will also be a Farmerโs Market and seasonal displays.
Lenexa Chili Challenge & Fest
October 11th-12th
Santa Fe Trail Drive & Pflumm Rd. Lenexa, KS
This is a free event where you can enjoy yummy chili โ whatโs a better fall meal than chili? Itโs so warm & delicious!
Free samples Saturday while supplies last. Make sure you sign your kiddos up for the Kids Kornbread contest.
Cornucopia Fall Festival

This will be one of the best Fall events in Kansas City this year! You can enjoy tons of kids’ activities, live music & entertainment, Fall food & drink tastings, pumpkins, art displays, pony rides, s’mores, food trucks & so much more.ย
The Fall Festival will be throughout the streets of the Power & Light District, with some of the streets being blocked off. It is expected to be a big event, filled with tons of fun fall things to do…caramel apples, kettle corn, funnel cake & s’mores. What’s more Fall than that?
