Outdoor Ice Skating Rinks:
Most outdoor ice rinks are open from mid-November through the end of February or March. Be sure to check out each local rink’s times and policy for reservations and skating. Don’t miss the chance to ice skate outside!

Crown Center Ice Terrace

Opening Day is FREE
The Crown Center Ice Terrace is probably the ice arena offering the most nostalgia for Kansas City locals.
The rink is located just across from the famous Crown Center Shops at 2425 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO, offering a spectacular view of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree.
Ice at Park Place
Leawood, KS
Opening date is TBA
The Ice at Park Place is located just at 11565 Ash Street, just a hop and skip away from Town Center Plaza in Leawood. This outdoor rink is surrounded by specialty shops, wonderful restaurants, and holiday festivities such as Skating with Santa.
Summit Ice
Lee’s Summit, MO
Opens November 27th
Summit Ice is eastern Jackson County’s only outdoor ice rink. The 8,000 sq ft rink is conveniently located at 120 NE Chipman Road – at the corner of Chipman and Douglas, in Lee’s Summit, MO. Part of Lea Mckeighan Park, there are many more family fun opportunities including an outstanding playground and bike/skate ramps on the grounds.
There is no mention of pre-registration on the website.
The Rink at Zona Rosa
8731 N Stoddard Avenue, Kansas City MO
Opens mid November
The Rink at Zona Rosa is a great outdoor rink in KC. They are open for public skating, pond hockey and more.

Located in the Northland, this rink is located within a 34,000 sq ft Community Center offering many family fun opportunities.

KC Ice Center INDOOR Ice Rink
They have an OUTDOOR rink too!

If you’re looking to go ice skating in Independence, Centerpoint Community Ice Rink is open year-round! It’s the smaller ice rink next to where the KC Mavericks play…
There are open skate times during the day, as well as on weekends.
