Introducing young children to the magical experience of going to the movie theater is like opening the door to a world of enchantment and wonder. ScreenPLAY by B&B THeatres helps with this process! Begin by creating excitement and anticipation by discussing the movie beforehand, and sharing its story or characters. Build up the anticipation by explaining that the movie will be projected on a big screen, surrounded by amazing sound effects. Ensure they understand that this will be a special outing, different from watching movies at home. On the day of the movie, involve them in the preparation process, such as choosing their favorite snacks to enjoy during the show. Arrive a bit early to familiarize them with the theater environment, pointing out the large screen and comfy seats. Remind them about good movie etiquette, like staying quiet and not blocking the view of others. Let them PLAY beforehand to work out some of the wiggles. Then as the lights dim and the movie begins, watch their faces light up with delight and immerse them in the experience. After the movie, engage in a discussion about their favorite parts and what they enjoyed. By gently introducing young children to the movie theater, we open up a whole new world of cinematic marvels for them to explore and cherish.

ScreenPLAY is an exclusive theatre room that features a full-size climbing playground for kids, plus a smaller play area for toddlers. Created with kiddos ages 2-8 in mind, it’s full of vibrantly colored seats and wall decor. And the play area even includes a slide!
ScreenPLAY guests are invited to arrive 30 minutes prior to the movie to play, listen to music, and watch entertainment on screen. After the 30-minute playtime, guests will take their seats for the movie, the lights are dimmed, and the show begins! This allows the munchkins to work their wiggles out, and hopefully, they’ll sit and enjoy the big show more than they may have otherwise.
