First Fridays in the West Bottoms: Your Guide to Shopping
Looking for fun family events this weekend? We’ve all heard of First Fridays in the Crossroads, but there’s a second event in the West Bottoms.
Every first Friday- Sunday, head over to the West Bottoms for First Fridays Weekend. Every first weekend of the month the doors to local shops located in the beautiful brick warehouses located in the West Bottoms are open for you and your family to see what hidden gems they have to offer. There will also be food trucks and street vendors as well.

Where are the West Bottoms?
The West Bottoms is located right near the heart of downtown Kansas City, MO (roughly 5 minutes from Power and Light) surrounding the 12th Street bridge. There is easy access to the West Bottoms whether you are coming from Kansas or Missouri.
West Bottom Shops & Business
With over 30+ businesses to support, you will be able to find anything from jewelry, clothing, decor, furniture, delicious foods, and more. There are many antique shops, artsy shops, and local makers that will be available for you to explore.
Most shops and eateries will be open from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday and Saturday and 12:00 pm- 5:00 pm on Sunday. Please note that store hours may change at the owner’s discretion. Each month, the West Bottoms First Friday will host a different theme to celebrate too.

Parking in the West Bottoms
Not sure where to park? Well, it can be tricky.
Parking is very limited in the West Bottoms, especially during First Fridays. Should no parking be available, there are several places that will have parking available for only $10 and they are just a short walk from the epicenter of the month’s event. Make sure you have comfortable shoes and carpool with friends if you can!
The Historic West Bottoms First Fridays are going to be a great, FREE event in KC that the whole family will love to attend. Make sure you mark your calendars each month for this opportunity to shop small and local.
