You pick farms are the best, not only do you get fresh produce but you get to see where it comes from, how it’s grown and support local farmers. These great You Pick Farms have a variety of crops to choose from throughout the year.
Before you head out to pick your produce, there are a few things to know beforehand. As always, when visiting a local business, confirm with the farm to make sure they are open. Things happen and sometimes they may close early or have limited availability or sold out crops. Also, crops have their own season:
Spring: strawberries, cherries, carrots, lettuce
Summer: blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, corn, peaches
Fall: apples, sunflowers, pumpkins,
Winter: spinach, broccoli, kale

Alldredge Orchards

Open The farm is open for apple picking Saturdays and Sundays in September and October from 10:00am- 5:00PM. Tickets are $6 per person for ages 2+. They also have a pumpkin patch during the fall and fresh picked peaches, veggies and some summer apples.
Anne’s Acres

This farm is a little drive out. They are open Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00am to 12:00pm with plenty of blueberries to pick when in season. They are also working to add new berries and produce to their farm.
Berryton Best

Berryton’s Best has fresh strawberries and sweet corn. Hours vary depending on availability so contact the farm or check online for frequent updates.
Buckeye Acres

This farm in Warrensburg has strawberries, blackberries and cherries. In the fall they also have a large selection of pumpkins. Hours vary by season and availability so call ahead before you head out.
Carolyn’s Pumpkin Patch
