DESCRIPTION:The Family Fitness Tour is a free traveling event that visits five parks across the Kansas City metro in a single day\, hosted by Mission-based nonprofit Down Syndrome Innovations and in partnership with the Kansas Health Foundation. Instead of asking families to come to one central spot\, we meet people where they’re at\, with a morning-to-afternoon loop through Gladstone\, Lee’s Summit\, Leawood\, Olathe and Mission. Each stop has exercise stations\, a playground\, and healthy snacks. The tour is designed with individuals with Down syndrome and their families at the center\, and anyone who wants to come out is welcome to join. Led by DSI Health and Wellness Coordinator Scott Quaife (NSCA-CPT).
