This encourages a shift from sympathetic activation (stress response) into parasympathetic regulation (rest and restoration). \nWhen paired with familiar music from the 1960s through the 1980s — decades associated with formative memories — the emotional effect deepens.

SUMMARY:Hasta Luego Monarchs!
DESCRIPTION:A Place Where Nature Takes Root \nWhat began as an opportunity to restore a piece of Olathe has blossomed into a vibrant native landscape where families\, gardeners and nature enthusiasts can discover the beauty and importance of plants\, pollinators and wildlife. Pollinator Prairie\, located at 320 S. Blake Street in Olathe\, is a community resource maintained by the Johnson County K-State Extension Master Naturalists and designed to demonstrate how native plants can create valuable habitat while adding beauty to the landscape. \nThe Prairie features four native gardens designed to support birds\, bees\, butterflies and monarchs\, along with native grass areas that showcase the diversity and beauty of Kansas prairie plants. Accessible pathways wind through the gardens\, making it easy for visitors of all ages and abilities to explore the landscape and observe pollinators and other wildlife. Plant labels throughout the gardens also provide ideas for selecting native plants that can be used in home gardens and containers. \nPollinator Prairie is more than a beautiful garden—it’s a living classroom for learning about native plants\, pollinator habitat and wildlife conservation. Visitors can discover how plants provide food and shelter for insects and birds\, learn about the importance of monarchs and milkweed\, and see firsthand how thoughtful landscape choices can create healthier habitats. The Prairie also offers an opportunity to learn about topics such as invasive plant management\, seed collection\, prairie restoration and gardening for wildlife. \nThroughout the year\, Johnson County K-State Extension Master Naturalists provide educational programs and special events at Pollinator Prairie\, giving the community opportunities to connect with nature through hands-on experiences. Events such as the annual Hasta Luego Monarchs celebration and National Pollinator Week activities invite families to explore the gardens\, learn about local wildlife and discover practical ways to support pollinators at home. \nPollinator Prairie demonstrates that even a relatively small landscape can make a meaningful difference for wildlife. By incorporating native plants\, pollinator-friendly flowers\, milkweed and other habitat plants into gardens and community spaces\, people can provide important resources for monarch butterflies\, bees\, butterflies\, birds and other wildlife. \nWhether you’re interested in native gardening in Kansas\, monarch butterflies\, pollinators\, birds\, wildlife habitat or prairie plants\, Pollinator Prairie offers a place to slow down\, explore and learn. Come see what happens when a community creates space for nature to thrive—and take home ideas for creating your own wildlife-friendly landscape.

SUMMARY:What iF Puppets presents How to Snag a Sea Monster
DESCRIPTION:When a seaweed-covered creature washes ashore in the Cape Cod village of Barnacle Bay\, the inhabitants fear the worst. Is it a sea monster in their midst? No\, it’s a baby as big as a house! The villagers adopt the giant baby\, whom they name Stormalong or Stormy\, for short. Growing over 24 feet tall\, Stormy struggles to fit in and chooses a life aboard a merchant ship to find his place in the world. Meanwhile\, a REAL sea monster torments the villagers and only Stormy is big enough to save them all!
