This is one of the best free things to do in Kansas City. Kids of all ages and adults are welcome to attend 40-minute Family Art Activities/Sessions across from Crown Center. These special art events are offered year-round, based on area school schedules.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and all adults must be accompanied by a child. We recommend you bring at least one adult for every 4 children in your group.

Free tickets are available on a first come basis until any session becomes full.  Reservations are only required for groups of 15 or more people (children and adults).  Groups of 15 or more who arrive without a reservation risk not being admitted due to space limitations. To accommodate the most families, reservations are limited and are not accepted at every session.

These sessions are offered on schooldays and require groups and individuals to pre-register. Sessions vary in focus and length (40-90 minutes).

Most of these sessions are geared toward elementary aged children on field trips.

Some days a special guest may make a presentation, while other days we may add a special themed project that the schools have selected. Every day children stretch their creative muscles making their own wonderful art!
