In Matthew 5 Jesus said to His disciples: “Now you are the light of the world.” As daunting as that sounds, we have taken the words of Jesus to heart. Colonial is a congregation that seeks to be the Light of Christ in our hurting culture. We believe that through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us as individuals and as a congregation, the lost will be found, the broken made whole, the fatherless will find hope, and our city will be blessed…all to the glory of God the Father and our Lord and King, Jesus Christ. That’s a tall order, and we take our mission very seriously…but we don’t take ourselves too seriously! We consider it a joy to be a family of believers, and we welcome all people to join us on this God-honoring mission.
