Worlds of Fun Reopening this Month! (& Updates for the 2020 Passholders)

We can all agree it’s hard to keep up with all the updates during this time.

But if you have a Worlds of Fun season pass for 2020, you’re going to want to read this!

We’ve got all the details on how WOF will handle the situation and when they will be reopening the theme park this summer.

Worlds of Fun Reopening!

Worlds of Fun announced they will be reopening the theme park on June 22nd. Included in their announcement was a full plan on how to handle the current situation.

Currently, ONLY season pass holders will be able to visit the park through scheduling. They hope to open the park soon for one-day tickets. However, with the current capacity limits, there isn’t enough room.

How Can I Go?

In order to come to the park, you will need to have a season pass and schedule your visit ahead of time. This is so that they can plan ahead and ensure there are not too many people in the park.

Once you schedule your visit, you will need to fill out the Pre-Entry Health Assessment. You will only need to fill out one per group.

Your reservation will be confirmed through email. It will be linked to your season pass, so you will only need to show your season pass when entering. You MUST also bring masks for each person in your group.

What is WOF Doing?

In an effort to provide the safest environment possible the following policies have been put into place at the park

• Masks are required for all visitors
• Must schedule visit to ensure not over capacity limits – you can do this through their mobile app.
• Temperature checks will be required before any guest can enter the park. (Overall health check)
• Hand sanitizing stations are available all over the park.

Worlds of Fun Season Pass Updates:

With Worlds of Fun closed for months, they’re found solutions that make up for what passholders have missed.

General Manager of Worlds of Fun, Tony Carovillano, released a statement yesterday (April 14th) about what the park plans to do. First & foremost, they would like to reopen the park as soon as possible, but are keeping an eye on directives from health officials to do it safely.

But  what do they plan to give passholders? That depends on what type of pass you have…

2020 Season Passes:

If you hold the prepaid 2020 season pass, it will be valid for the remaining months of 2020. In addition to this year, passes will be valid into 2021 as well.

This includes Silver, Gold & Platinum passes. 2020 season pass ad-ons will also be valid in 2021. You must check your pass type to see what benefits will be extended, as their policy only extends your current benefits.

Season passes will be valid through the end of the 2021 season.

Even if you purchased your pass AFTER April 14th, you are still eligible for your pass to be extended into 2021.

How to Extend?

There is no additional action needed by pass holders, as long as you are current on payments.

If you chose monthly billing, you can find more information under the “easy pay” option.

Single Day Passes?

If you have single day passes you valid during the time the park is closed, Worlds of Fun is working with each individual case to find solutions. You can contact the park to discuss your individual needs.

Easy Pay Program Passes?

If you chose the Easy Pay Program to have your season pass fees billed monthly, those payments were paused on April 8th. All payments will be suspended until the park reopens.

You can choose to stop payments even when the park reopens, but you will not get benefits mentioned above. When the payments resume, you will be notified prior to the first payment, so you will have time to stop payments if you desire.

If you would like to receive the extension on your passes into 2021, you will need to be current on all payments.

Pre-K Season Passes

These 2020 passes will only be valid during 2020. Their value will NOT carry into 2021. You can contact the park for more info on this type of pass.

Platinum Passes?

These 2020 passes will be valid at every Cedar Valley park through the end of 2021 season, so you have plenty of time to utilize it!
