MCPL Summer Reading Program
There’s a special summer reading program at MCPL – Show Me! Summer Reading Program will celebrate Missouri’s Bicentennial with reading fun.
The program typically runs June through August each year. And all kids have to do is read for 20 minutes a day for it to count! That’s easy enough for your younger kids to read on their own…
Bonner Springs Library
Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program with Bonner Springs City Library is open to all ages. Starting June 1st, visit the Bonner Springs City Library for a Bingo card to complete your summer reading activity. Once it’s completed bring it back to the library for prizes. This summer reading program ends July 31st.
Johnson County Public Library
Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program will be at Joco libraries. This summer reading program starts June 5th and will end July 31st with an ending showcase of contest winners, story time, and more. This year’s program will be virtual only so register your family today.
Kansas City Kansas (KCK) Public Library
The Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program for kids, teens, and adults is a summer reading program that’s perfect for the whole family.
The KCKPL summer reading program begins June 1st and ends July 31st. Register your children ages 0-12th grade or as an adult for awesome prizes.
All they have to do is read a total of 300 minutes during June and July and all you have to do is read 6 books to participate. They can also complete online activities to be entered in the grand prize drawing. Register today!
Olathe Public Library
Tails & Tales Summer Reading Program at the Olathe Public Library Summer Reading Program runs from May 17th through August 7th.

Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program will also happen at the Cass County Public Library. Their Summer Reading Program starts June 7th and ends July 31st.

North Kansas City Public Library
The Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program for Kids is open for ages 0-5th grade starting May 29th. For every reading log your child completes, they will earn cool rewards.
