Drive-In Movies at Walmart Parking Lots: Coming to KC!
Your family probably visits Walmart quite often…
Now you have a new reason to stop by – the movies!
This fall, Walmart is bringing fun family activities to over 160 Walmarts around the U.S.
Parking lots will transform into drive-in movie theaters. A few KC Walmarts are on that list! So, find a Walmart location near you to enjoy the movie…
What’s Happening?
Park your car in the parking lot of Walmart and enjoy a night of short films and a featured movie. Before the main movie begins, short films will be shown from your favorite characters.
Movies shown will vary by location, but you can find the specific movies below for the KC locations. Expect to see movies like “Cars”, “Black Panther” and “The Iron Giant.”
Each movie will have virtual hosts for the outdoor cinema events, including LeBron James, Jennifer Garner, Drew Barrymore and Peter Berg.
How to Save Your Spot?
You MUST reserve your space online prior to the showing. There will be limited space, so be sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible!
Email confirmation will be sent to you. Be sure to bring this to the event! A QR code will be included that must be scanned to get into the event.

Walmart just wants to provide families a fun way to get out of the house safely.
According to Walmart’s Chief Customer Officer, “We recognize the challenges our customers and their families have faced over the last few months, and we wanted to create an experience where they could come together safely to create new memories. The Walmart Drive-in is one small way weโre supporting the communities we serve.”
You can find the full news release from Walmart online. This will have additional info, as well as other locations across the country if you’re traveling or want to share with friends.
We hope your family has fun at this unique event! Don’t forget the snacks…
